One of the limitations we have to deal with here is the fact that Marketo API will overwrite any image we submit that has the same name as an existing image.

Therefore creating a situation where 2 different users could overwrite each others images. This is how we came up with the Jeto ID (that contains jeto field key + a unique date stamp).

Do you have a specific naming convention in mind that would work for your needs and would also avoid overwriting images?

We'd like to be able to control the naming conventions of images and files and remove the added Jeto info form the url

Other improvement have been prioritized over this one. We're keeping it in the backlog. Please keep voting on it to shift up the priority level.
